Prior to joining Jordan Schrader Ramis in 2000, Deborah had 18 years' experience as a California attorney in the areas of creditors' rights, bankruptcy, receiverships and foreclosures, loan workouts, and real estate and commercial litigation. After a three-year hiatus working exclusively in bankruptcy and working with her husband's guitar-building business, she rejoined the firm in April 2007. Currently, Deborah provides support in the areas of real estate and development, and creditors' rights and bankruptcy.

Deborah's experience includes:

  • Representation of real property lenders in loan workouts, receiverships, foreclosures, and bankruptcy proceedings
  • Representation of creditors, trustees, and debtors in bankruptcy, including relief from stay, plan formulation and confirmation, objection to discharge, and preference litigation
  • Representation of various parties in litigation concerning mechanics' liens, leases and evictions, boundary and trespass disputes, and contracts for the sale of property
  • Commercial and residential sales transactions.
  • Real estate financing.

Deborah graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and received her law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco.

Deborah's focus is always on achieving practical results for clients at a reasonable cost. Her experience and knowledge add to the firm's ability to advise our clients in real estate transactions and financing, bankruptcies, foreclosures, and related litigation.
