For more than 14 years, Hafez Daraee has been providing legal advice and litigation services to clients in the Pacific Northwest. Hafez focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial, construction and real estate litigation, as well as real estate and construction development, and commercial transactions.
Hafez earned his B.A. in political science from the University of Oregon, and his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College, where he served as a member of the Cornelius Honor Society. Hafez is admitted to state and federal courts in Oregon and Washington and is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.
Hafez has a strong background in civic and community service. Hafez has been the Mayor of the City of Rivergrove since November 2005, a member of the City Council since 1997, and served as the President of the Council from January 2001 to December 2003. He is on the Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ("JDRF") where he chairs the Nominating Committee. Hafez enjoys skiing, golf and wood working and, along with his wife, Cate, serves as the co-captain of "Jack's Team," the Daraee family's JDRF fundraising team. In 2006 and 2007, Jack's Team was the top JDRF fundraising team in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
