For more than 16 years, Hafez Daraee has been providing legal advice and litigation services to clients in the Pacific Northwest. Hafez focuses his practice in the areas of securities litigation, mortgage and banking law and compliance, complex commercial, construction, and real estate litigation, as well as real estate and construction development and transactions.
Hafez earned his B.A. in political science from the University of Oregon, and his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College, where he served as a member of the Cornelius Honor Society. Hafez is admitted to state and federal courts in Oregon, Washington and Alaska, and is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association, the Clackamas County Bar Association, and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.
Hafez has a strong background in civic and community service. Hafez was Mayor of the City of Rivergrove from 2005-2009, a member of the Rivergrove City Council between 1997 and 2009, serving as the President of the Council from January 2001 to December 2003.
Hafez enjoys skiing, golf and wood working and, along with his wife, Cate, serves as the co-captain of "Jack's Team," the Daraee family's Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's fundraising team. In 2006 and 2007, Jack's Team was the top JDRF fundraising team in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
